ACCESSIBILITY
Dealer's Choice - last updated 11 August 2026
Everyone deserves a seat at the table. Every one of the app's card games is played on one shared table, so accessibility is built once, in that shared layer - and every game, present and future, inherits it.
10 VOICEOVER
The whole table speaks. Every card in your hand is a labeled button that tells you its name, whether it's playable, and how to play it; opponents, piles, bids, and score are all labeled elements. As the game unfolds, the table narrates every event - deals, plays, draws, captures, turn changes, results - so a blind player can follow a full hand from shuffle to score without seeing the felt.
20 REDUCE MOTION
With the system Reduce Motion setting on, cards no longer fly, spring, or flip in 3D. They appear where they land with a gentle face dissolve, arriving cards carry a brief gold glint so you can see what just moved, and an invalid move gives a soft flash instead of a shake. The pace of play is unchanged - only the motion is gone.
30 CONTRAST AND COLOR
MEASURED CONTRAST. Every text and control color in all four of the app's skins is checked against WCAG contrast ratios as part of the build - it's a gate, not a guess.
INCREASE CONTRAST. The system setting strengthens the whole app live: text gets bolder, translucent panels turn opaque, and borders sharpen - in every skin, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
COLOR IS NEVER THE ONLY CUE. Suits always carry their shapes, the active player is marked by a ring as well as color, and unplayable cards dim and disable. Two four-color deck designs are available for players who want every suit distinct at a glance.
LIGHT AND DARK. Porcelain is a true light skin; the other three are full dark interfaces. Pick whichever reads best.
40 LOW VISION
The app follows the system text size, including the accessibility sizes - and at large sizes the table reflows rather than truncates. Comfort options go further: a card-size slider, a magnifier (press and hold any face-up card), and larger-card layouts. On the Mac, command-zoom works at every table.
50 HEARING
Nothing in the app is audio-only. Every cue is visual, and events at the table are paired with haptics on iPhone. There is no speech or video content, so nothing needs captioning.
60 REDUCED TRANSPARENCY
With the system Reduce Transparency setting on, every translucent panel in the app swaps its blur for a solid fill.
70 TELL ME WHAT'S MISSING
Accessibility work is never finished. If something in the app doesn't work with the assistive technology you rely on, I want to know - email kyle@linwoodtechnologies.com or use the app's anonymous Suggestion Box (Settings -> Send Feedback).
80 GOTO
Dedicated to my grandfather, Herrick Roland Peterson.
